Rotary Club of Surat Tapi was chartered on 30th December 2020. This was 5th new club for the year 2020-21. The charter president of club is Rtn. Nehal Shah and charter Hon. Secretary for the club is Rtn. Rabiz Gorywala. The installation was done by PDG Prashant Jani, District Governor for 2020-21. The club crossed 30 members in it’s very first year and also completed 35 projects successfully. The club has also installed on E-Rotaract Club Ignited Minds and one interact club at Uttar Buniyadi Vidyalaya, Ranat, Surat. Rotary club of Surat Tapi is sponsor for RCC, Kanakpur, Sachin, Surat. Within 2 years the club has given a District Leader to district 3060. DGN Tushar Shah is unanimously elected for District Governor of District 3060 for year 2024-25. The club e-bulletin The Rotary Talks is one of the finest showcase of Rotary clubs. The club’s contribution to TRF is more than USD 15000.00 so far. The club is decorated with 9 Paul Harris Fellows. Since the inception the club has been an EREY club with 100% giving.
Members of Rotary Club of Surat Tapi have been regular part of District Events and International Rotary Events. With 30+ district awards in 2 years the club has been awarded as the Best New Club and the Best Club within 2 years. DGN Tushar Shah bagged the Best Rotarian award in 2021-22. IPP Nehal Shah was awarded as the Best Rotarion for year 2021-22. The club has been very instrumental in other fellowships of Rotary. Rotary Means Business Surat chapter was chartered by DGN Tushar Shah and the club gave 2 consecutive presidents to RMB Surat Chapter in 2 years.
Rotary club of surat tapi follows the tradtion and innovation both in service projects. The club introduced first every PHYGITAL RYLA in year 2021-22. It was a mix of technology and tradition and was successfully completed with participation of over 75 youngsters. The club follows the culture of covering all focus areas of Rotary and always inspires members to stay committed for the 4 way test.
The club crossed membership of 50 within 2 years and continues to have active members who are always willing to contribute to society and club both so that the purpose of service above self is met.
